    Officers issued two traffic citations and six traffic warnings, and assisted eight motorists, Tuesday and Wednesday.
    UNIVERSITY STORE — Criminal Investigations arrested a woman and charged her with theft by deception (misdemeanor) at 10 a.m. Tuesday for thefts that occurred at the bookstore. A supervisor at the bookstore told police Jan. 10 that she discovered the theft as she was calculating numbers from a book buy-back event between Dec. 17 and 20 and found that the number of books collected did not match the amount of money the store paid. The supervisor found that the woman, an employee, reactivated voided transactions as though they had gone through and collected the money, amounting to $839.25. The employee was caught doing some of these transactions on cameras — some with other cashiers and others she did herself.
