Statesboro Police Arrests

Grayson Edward Angel, 20, Stambuk Lane – marijuana possession, underage possession of alcohol.

Kiley Ann Lightle, 23, Stambuk Lane – defective equipment, open container, possession of a synthetic narcotic, violation of law requiring original container for prescription medication, DUI (refused test).

Doy Love Jr., 49, Burkhalter Road – failure to obey traffic device, driving with a suspended license.

Shantea Nicole Frink, 18, Chandler Road – speeding, no driver’s license.

Roderick Megail Foster, 24, Spell Mincey Road, Portal – driving with a suspended license, seat belt violation.

 

Bulloch Sheriff's Arrests

Ashley Patrice McIvory, 21, Statesboro Place Circle – simple battery.

Jammi Lynn Graham, 34, Rockhill Road, Portal – probation violation.

 

Georgia State Patrol Arrests

DUI arrests –one.

Georgia Southern University Arrests

Officers issued nine traffic citations Thursday.

Statesboro Police Incidents

WEST JONES AVENUE – A man said his neighbor’s dog got off its chain and bit him on the leg. He suffered swelling and three puncture wounds. Bulloch County Humane Enforcement responded and opened a case against the dog’s owner, and charges are pending.

SEA ISLAND BANK/BRAMPTON AVENUE – Depositors told police they received 16 counterfeit $20 bills from a renter.

MAPLEVIEW NURSING HOME – A woman was sweeping when she saw a resident smoking, which was a violation. Reports stated the man could only smoke when he went a night without relieving himself. The woman said she tried to take the cigarette and accidentally hit the man between the eyes with a broom handle. The man told officers he was drinking coffee and “possibly smoking a cigarette” when the woman attacked him, hitting him in the back of the head. He would not say where he was getting cigarettes.

THE VILLAGE AT MILL CREEK – A man said his wife, from whom he is separated, shredded his naturalization papers, damaged a computer cord and dunked his camera under water.

IVORY TOWER TATTOO – A man said he saw a red car back into an air conditioner unit, causing major damage to the air conditioner.

 

Bulloch County Sheriff's Incidents

W. C. HODGES ROAD – (Statesboro) A deputy spotted two men acting suspiciously behind a home. They said they were looking at scrap metal and asked if the deputy knew the land owner. He said he did, and the land owner would not want the men on his property. After checking the men’s identities, the deputy arrested one on outstanding warrants.

BURKHALTER ROAD/OLD REGISTER WAY – (Statesboro) A Frontier Communications representative reported copper wire stolen from a pole.

CHURCH STREET – (Register) A man reported the theft of an Xbox, iPod, TV, tool box, clothing, heart pine flooring and remote control truck.

ROCKHILL ROAD – (Portal) A man called deputies to report someone broke into his daughter’s house. The daughter said no one broke in, but two men she did not know got into a fight at her house. Deputies identified the two men in reports, but the woman did not want to press charges. However, deputies arrested her after finding she was wanted for probation violation.

Georgia Southern University Incidents

Officers assisted seven motorists, issued five traffic warnings, and responded to one alarm Thursday.
 COLLEGE OF EDUCATION – Someone reported the theft of a pair of prescription glasses and a student ID.
EAGLE VILLAGE - Officers responded to a reports of loud noise and loud arguing . Students were judicially referred for alcohol violations.
