    STRATFORD STREET — A woman said two roaming dogs harmed two of her cats.
    JOHNSON STREET — A woman accused a man of putting sugar in her car’s gas tank. He denied doing so.
    STAMBUK LANE — Shoes and jeans were stolen from a car.
    EAGLE VILLAS SUITES — A TV, laptop computer and Xbox 360 were stolen.

Arrests
    Mark Allen Gill, 37, Hidden Hill Road, Register — cruelty to children.
    Amber Lee Jaynes, 37, Waynesboro Highway, Sylvania — bench warrant.
    Roger Dale Miller, 64, Old Dill Road, Portal — public intoxication.

Incidents
    HOLLAND ROAD — (Register) A man reported several prescription medicines and an Xbox 360 stolen after someone kicked in a door.
    MILL CREEK ROAD — Someone tried to steal several items from a man’s shed. They were left in a blue wagon at the scene after being taken them from their places. The victim said he suspects someone scared the thieves away before they could complete the theft.
    TRU FAIL CROSSING LANE — (Portal) A man found sitting in a car, claiming he was out of gas, was arrested on public intoxication charges. While deputies were there, his daughter did arrived with gas for his car.
    FIVE CHOP ROAD — (Statesboro) Deputies responded to a domestic disturbance. A woman said her husband pointed a gun at her, but a witness and the husband stated he did not do so, and that the woman had issues regarding stability and using over-the-counter medicines to stay awake at night.
    GEORGIA HIGHWAY  67 — (Statesboro) A woman said she let her dogs out — a black pit bull puppy and a white dog — and watched as a woman in a blue Jeep with a drive-out tag picked them up.
    HIDDEN HILL ROAD — (Register) A man reported the theft of several power tools.
In a separate incident involving different people, a woman said a man struck her 4-month-old baby in the face to stop her from crying. Deputies observed visible injuries and arrested the man.

    Officers assisted one motorist Thursday.
    FREEDOM’S LANDING — Officers responded to a panic alarm and met with the occupant, who advised she activated the panic alarm because of a small kitchen fire.  The small fire was extinguished before the officer arrived.
