Police Report 12-15-11 - 2 men were caught stealing about $1,850 worth of clothing

STATESBORO POLICE DEPARTMENT
Arrests
    Fabian Antione Merriwether, 22, Lanier Drive — possession of a Schedule II controlled Substance, felony theft by shoplifting.
    Wilbert Giles Williams, 21, Brampton Avenue — felony theft by shoplifting.
    Kenneth E. Humphries, 47, Nesmith Road — suspended license, wanted person.
    Caleb Deon Clifton, 21, Oliver — obstruction.
    Larry Deangelo Reese, 30, Ridgecrest Drive, East Point — felony theft by receiving stolen property, marijuana possession.

Incidents
    BELK — Two men were caught stealing about $1,850 worth of clothing. One man had drugs in his possession as well. In a separate incident a juvenile was charged with shoplifting a shirt and a pair of boxer shorts.
    FOSS STREET — A window air conditioner was stolen.
    JOHNSON STREET — A woman said her daughter beat her up during an argument.
    ANTHONY STREET — A man and woman argued, and when one tried to leave the scene in a vehicle, crashed it into a mailbox before fleeing on foot. Reports did not identify the driver.
    BOYS AND GIRLS CLUB — A man said his ex-girlfriend stalked him and followed him to work.
    EAST MAIN STREET — A woman reported a man staring through her window, and police officers found where the pine straw under her window was disturbed. There was also an undisclosed item left behind that did not belong to her.
    STADIUM WALK APARTMENTS — Officers checking out a drug complaint arrested a man for having a stolen gun and having marijuana on his person.

BULLOCH COUNTY SHERIFF’S OFFICE
Arrests
    Shala Deonna Marshall, 34, Gordon Street — suspended registration, marijuana possession.
    Tanesha Fashon Wigfall, 36, Tami-Sheri Lane — suspended license, suspended registration, no proof of insurance, window tint violation.
 
Incidents
    U.S. 80 EAST — (Statesboro) A woman said a man stole her blue pitbull puppy.
    HAMOCKS SUBDIVISION — (Statesboro) An orange Polaris racing ATV was reported stolen.
    SANDPIPER DRIVE — (Statesboro) A man and woman were arrested for fighting. The man suffered visible injuries and both were intoxicated.
    SIDNEY CHASE — (Statesboro) A woman reported being in a fight after asking two other women to cease making a disturbance by blowing their car horn.
    OLD REGISTER ROAD — A couple argued over the man’s “getting comfortable in bed” and one ended up calling 911.
    ABACO CIRCLE — (Statesboro) A man and woman argued over his cell phone, and he struck and choked her.

Arrests
    Officers issued three traffic citations Thursday.
    Branson Leslie Hoskins, 21, Chandler Road — disorderly conduct.
    Justin Tyler Dodds, 19, Kennedy Hall — forgery.
    John Joseph Flanagan, 19, Statesboro Place — underage possession of alcohol.

Incidents
    Officers assisted two motorists, responded to two sick person calls and investigated one accident Tuesday.
    KENNEDY HALL — Several books were reported stolen.
    HOLLIS BUILDING — An unruly person was reported.
