Police report, 11/20/19
A deputy assisted in a traffic stop where a person was driving on the wrong side of the road and tried to turn in to the driveway of Hopeulikit Barbecue. The driver was also reportedly driving in circles on the road, impeding traffic.

▲ WEST PARRISH/NORTH MAIN STREETS – A deputy assisted in an arrest of a man driving the wrong way down a street, who was also DUI.

▲ HIGHWAY 80 WEST – A deputy assisted in a traffic stop where a person was driving on the wrong side of the road and tried to turn in to the driveway of Hopeulikit Barbecue. The driver was also reportedly driving in circles on the road, impeding traffic. The deputy stopped the driver and turned the case over to a state trooper.

▲ GARY STREET – A woman said a man she knows kicked in her door looking for his ex-girlfriend.

▲ CONE HOMES – A woman said someone she knew threw a trash can at her TV, damaging it.

▲ EAST PARRISH STREET – A woman said someone knocked over and damaged a flower pot and stand.

▲ DOLLAR GENERAL/NORTHSIDE DRIVE WEST – A person who had already been served with a criminal trespass warning for begging and soliciting was arrested when they returned to do the same as before.

▲ STATESBORO MALL – A person who refused to leave or cooperate with pooi8ce was arrested.

▲ PRESIDENT CIRCLE – A woman said a man smashed her cell phone after she gave him a ride.

▲ CHANDLER ROAD – A man and woman found sleeping in a public area were charged with public intoxication.

▲ WAL-MART SUPERCENTER – A person walked out without paying for a $235 TV.

▲ STATESBORO PLACE CIRCLE – A woman reported $200 stolen from her wallet.

▲ VALLEY ROAD – A man said his ex-girlfriend struck him in the eye with her hand. She was not at the scene when police arrived.


➤ Georgia Southern University Police

▲ Officers issued no traffic citations and one traffic warning and assisted three motorists Monday.

▲  FREEDOM’S LANDING – In two separate cases, someone reported property damage.

Officers also arrested a person in simple battery and outstanding warrant charges in a separate case.

▲ CENTENNIAL PLACE – Officers responded to an animal complaint and an injured person in the same call.

▲ LOT 21 – Someone reported property damage.

▲ SOUTHERN COURTYARD – Officers responded to a report of property damage.

▲ SOUTHERN PINES – Someone reported a case or simple battery and criminal trespass.
