Police report, 10/22/19
A man said a woman jumped out of a car, crying; ran to his car and asked for help. Then she returned to the vehicle she left. Police located the woman who said she was arguing with her boyfriend over a cell phone.

▲ HIGHWAY 80 WEST — A woman called police about a man she said came to her place of employment. She said she doesn’t want any contact with him.

▲ QUALITY INN — A woman said a neighboring guest threatened her.

▲ MATTHEWS ROAD — Reports of shots fired likely came from a vehicle in the area, according to reports.

▲ STATESBORO PLACE CIRCLE — Someone reported a rock thrown at a window.

▲ FLETCHER/FRANCIS SCOTT DRIVE — A man said a woman jumped out of a car, crying; ran to his car and asked for help. Then she returned to the vehicle she left. Police located the woman who said she was arguing with her boyfriend over a cell phone.

▲ FOOD WORLD — An employee reported a woman placed several packages of meat in her purse and left without paying.

▲ CASH ROAD — Someone reported a firearm stolen.

▲ HAGAN MILLPOND ROAD — A man reported people riding four-wheelers recklessly.

▲ GRIMSHAW LANE — A man reported three men trespassing on property near his deer stand.

▲ GLENNBROOK CROSSING — A woman said a person banged on her door, threatened her, and sat in her driveway blowing the car horn. She asked the person be served with a criminal trespass warning.

▲ OLD FLAT FORD LANE — A woman asked that a man be served with a criminal trespass warning after finding him waiting at her home for someone. She said he is known to sell marijuana and does not want him on her property.

▲ BANKS DAIRY ROAD — A man told deputies he saw a man wearing a brown jacket flee from behind his truck.

▲ RAINDROP ROAD — A man was charged with reckless conduct and discharging a firearm while under the influence. He and his roommate told deputies they argued and fought with men with whom they had a confrontation at a bar in Statesboro. They said the other men came to their home. The roommate told inconsistent stories, reports stated.


➤ Georgia Southern University Police 

▲ Friday through Sunday, officers issued 12 traffic citations and seven traffic warnings and assisted 10 motorists.

▲ CENTENNIAL PLACE — Officers responded to a reported rape. Additional details will be published upon receipt; a records request was filed.

▲ C LOT — Someone hit a parked car and left the scene.  

▲ FREEDOM’S LANDING — A student was judicially referred to university authorities, but not criminally charged, for a drug complaint.

▲ SOUTHERN COURTYARD — Officers responded to a criminal trespass case where a person was arrested.

In another case, a person was arrested as well, charged with underage possession of alcohol and public intoxication.
