Police Report 10-20-11 - 'Prank' scares 2 into calling police

STATESBORO POLICE DEPARTMENT
Arrests
    Cedric Elliot Morris, 24, Gentilly Road — public intoxication, public indecency.
    Brett Burnsed, 18, Chandler Road — wanted person, failure to appear in court, possession of a controlled substance and theft of services.
    Derissia Leshia Walker, 18, West Parrish Drive — criminal trespass.
    Jeffrey Scott McClain Jr., 22, Sawgrass Trail — DUI.

Incidents
    LANIER DRIVE — A man trying to sneak up on two others while wearing a mask and carrying a hatchet had to explain to police it was just a Halloween prank. The “prank” frightened the complainants enough to call police.
    RETRIEVERS — Two strangers started a fight with others by making rude comments, according to witnesses.
    THE AVENUE AT SOUTHERN — A man in a motorized wheelchair rolled into a former roommate during an argument and the roommate struck him in the ear.
    JOHNSON STREET — Two women were reported to have been fighting.
    WALMART — A woman caught a man following her and then hiding under a car next to hers while she returned her cart. When she confronted him he ran, and police think he may have been trying to peek underneath her skirt.

Arrests
    David Bradley Braswell, 27, Island Street — child support lockup (nonpayment of child support).
    Jason Allen Carter, 40, Gallops Mobile Home Park — public intoxication.
    Shanika Denise Childers, 28, Garfield Street — aggravated assault.
    Franklin Delinore Roosevelt Mosely, 47, Pecan Grove, Portal — obstructing emergency phone calls, disorderly phone calls, simple battery.
    Samuel Scott Plotts, 19, Bowen Road, Twin City — suspended license, speeding, to fast for conditions, obstruction.

Incidents
    STAMBUK LANE —(Statesboro) A pizza deliveryman reported a wallet and cash stolen from his vehicle while he delivered his wares.
    CONTINENTAL CAN ROAD — (Statesboro) A man said someone in Texas tried using his driver’s license number to buy a car.
    CLITO ROAD — (Clito) A man reported a welder stolen.
    U.S. 80 EAST — (Brooklet) A woman said a man stole $500 and a cell phone.
    NEWELL RECYCLING — (Statesboro) A man and woman argued, and he shoved her. The woman’s son then struck the offender in the face. The altercation stemmed from an ongoing feud.
    JERRY HALL ROAD —(Statesboro) Two men in separate incidents each reported the theft of a game camera.
    WESTSIDE ROAD — A woman said someone called, asked for personal information to have medications sent to her home, but never received the medications.
    POJO’S/U.S. 30 SOUTH — (Statesboro) A woman entered the store, dropped her pants, urinated on the floor, then left in a silver Impala.
    PECAN GROVE ROAD — (Portal) A runaway juvenile was found, and had been hidden by a man who had also had a sexual relationship with the girl.

    Officers issued 10 traffic warnings, assisted nine motorists, responded to three alarms, and one motor vehicle accident Tuesday.
    SOUTHERN COURYARD — Someone reported a battery incident.
    WATSON PODS — Officers responded to an intoxicated pedestrian complaint.
