Incidents
    STATESBORO POLICE DEPARTMENT — The SPD Crime Suppression Team inventoried 16 pounds (13,200 pills) of miscellaneous medications that were deposited through Operation Medicine Drop, a program where unwanted, obsolete or outdated medications are taken and properly destroyed instead of being flushed or thrown out, where the chemicals can enter the ecosystem.
    GARFIELD STREET — Two adult sisters were arrested for fighting after their mother called police.
    EASTVIEW APARTMENTS — A woman said a man answered her phone, heard another man’s voice, then became angry, throwing plates and breaking them.
    WILLOW BEND APARTMENTS — A man wrestled a woman to the ground after she came to his house and told him she slashed his tires. They both signed a waiver of prosecution when police arrived.
    MORRIS HEIGHTS APARTMENTS — A woman reported $50 stolen.
    BOYD’S BARBECUE — An elderly woman brushed against a Statesboro police car containing a K-9 police dog, causing him to bark. The dog startled her, causing her to fall and suffer superficial injuries.
    FOSS STREET — A man and woman told police another man took their tractor for repairs, but will not return it or tell them where it is.
    SUMMIT APARTMENTS — A man reported the theft of a red 1993 Chevrolet C1500 pickup.
    LANIER DRIVE — An officer saw a person lying on the ground and learned he was struck by a car, which was still on the scene. The woman driving was charged with DUI and failure to yield.
    PRIMETIME LOUNGE — A woman said someone struck her in the face.
    PLATINUM LOUNGE — A woman said she became dizzy later in the day after being struck in the head while trying to break up a fight at Platinum Lounge earlier.

    Officers issued 29 traffic citations Friday through Monday.
    Kyle Christian Wallace, 21, Fort Stewart — excessive volume from a vehicle and DUI.
    Charles Albert Lyons IV, 19, Jesup — failure to yield and possession of marijuana.
    Colby Tyler Jones, 18, Knight Drive — possession of marijuana.
    Stephen Michael Burnsed, 19, Herons Walk — underage possession of false ID, obstruction and giving false information to an officer.
    Joshua Neal Starkey, 19, Chandler Road — underage possession of alcohol.
    John Anthony Schifani, 19, address unlisted (Statesboro) — underage possession of alcohol and obstruction.

Incidents
    Officers issued 26 traffic warnings and assisted five motorists Friday through Monday.
    FREEDOM’S LANDING — Officers responded to a drug complaint.  Two occupants were judicially referred to school authorities for punishment. In a separate incident, officers responded to an alcohol complaint and eight students were judicially referred.
    GEORGIA AVENUE — Officers arrested an intoxicated person on Georgia Avenue at Lanier Drive.  
    SOUTHERN COURTYARD — Officers responded to a sick person. EMS was notified, responded and transported the sick person. The sick person was judicially referred for alcohol violations.
    LANIER DRIVE — An intoxicated woman asked for police help in locating her lost cellphone. She was judicially referred to school authorities regarding her public intoxication status.
