Mathew James Chalkley, 26, Richard Street, Swainsboro – rape.

Jamie Tawond Reese, 17, East Main Street – felony bench warrant.

 

Statesboro Police Department

Joshua Zy’Quell Blockett, 24, Turpin Street, Augusta – probation violation on a misdemeanor charge.

Marco Carmona Velasco, 21, Grady Johnson Road – driving without a valid license, headlight violation.

Javon Laterell Johnson, 31, Cedarview Circle, Hephzibah – misdemeanor obstruction of officers, probation violation on a misdemeanor charge.

Daequan Deeshawn Roberts, 18, North River Street, Claxton – marijuana possession (less than 1 ounce).

Matthew Randall Thomas, 19, Thomasboro Road, Screven – DUI (under age 21), possession of alcohol under legal age, no license on person, violation of license restrictions, failure to maintain lane, driving on wrong side of roadway.

 

INCIDENTS

Bulloch County Sheriff’s Office

U.S. HIGHWAY 80 EAST – A BCSO deputy assisted the Statesboro Police Department in recovering a stolen vehicle. They documented its condition and had a wrecker service remove it.

CHANDLER ROAD – A blue 2016 Dodge Dart and its contents were reported stolen from a location in an apartment complex.

JOHNSON STREET – An officer spoke to a juvenile boy who reportedly started a fire in a dumpster. After police contacted the Department of Juvenile Justice, the child was turned over to his mother.

SOUTH MAIN STREET – In an domestic dispute call, a woman reported that  a man attacked her in order to get his keys from her. After police found the man on the scene yelling and cursing at the woman and he ignored warnings to stop, he was arrested, and police took photos of the woman’s injuries, an officer reported.

SOUTH MAIN STREET – A man reported that his cellphone, his wallet and items in the wallet were stolen from his car while he was at an apartment complex’s pool.

A BUSINESS LOCATION – A woman’s report that she received threatening messages and calls from an ex-boyfriend while under a protective order is being investigated as an incident of aggravated stalking.

 

Georgia Southern University Police

Officers assisted one motorist and issued no traffic citations or warnings Monday.

WILLIAMS CENTER – A theft-by-taking incident was reported and turned over to the department’s investigators.
