Police arrested a man Friday they said reportedly harassed a woman, her friends and her employers by making incessant calls and sending texts and explicit photos.
Statesboro police charged Timothy Richard Macklin, 45, with three counts of harassing communications for three separate incidents, said Statesboro police Community Information Specialist Madison Warren.
Macklin, of Stony Bluff Road in Girard, was reported to have called a female victim, a former girlfriend, repeatedly, as well as sent texts after a recent breakup. The woman reported the harassment as having occurred Sept. 13 and Sept. 14, and on the second day, she told police the man had sexually explicit photos of her that he sent to another person, as well as to several people on social media. He also called the second victim, a relative of the first, in an attempt to contact the former girlfriend.
Then, on Sept. 18, Macklin reportedly called and texted the victim’s employers in yet another attempt to contact the victim. The employers filed a complaint against Macklin as well.
In addition to the three separate harassing communications charges, Macklin was also charged with one count of transmitting photos depicting nudity or sexual contact.
He was taken to the Bulloch County Jail pending further court action.
