Two men suspected in a bank robbery Tuesday face additional charges, said Statesboro Police Chief Stan York.
Neil Anthony Robinson, 25, Player’s Club Apartments, and Danny DeWayne Irick, 24, North College Street, who were charged Tuesday with armed robbery, were also charged with kidnapping and possession of a firearm during the commission of a crime, he said.
Additional charges are pending as the investigation continues, he said.
Statesboro Police Capt. L. C. Williams said Federal Bureau of Investigations agents are expected to indict the two suspects on federal charges soon, but currently Irick and Robinson are being held in the Bulloch County Jail without bond on the Statesboro Police Department charges.
The two entered Park Avenue Bank  near Wal-Mart Tuesday morning, armed with a gun, and fled with an undetermined amount of cash, York said.
Within minutes police had the two in custody and found the cash, masks and the gun used in the robbery inside the black Monte Carlo the two used to flee the scene, he said.
No one was injured during the robbery.
