Bulloch County Schools officials reported no injuries were sustained Friday during a school bus collision with another vehicle.

Around 4:15 p.m., a Southeast Bulloch route bus was traveling on Henry Futch Road, a dirt road, in the Nevils area, said Bulloch County Schools marketing director Hayley Greene.

An oncoming vehicle was traveling in the opposite direction toward the bus “at what the bus driver believed to be a rate of speed too fast for conditions,” she said. “The vehicle struck the side of the school bus when it met the bus.”

The Bulloch County Schools Transportation Department contacted law enforcement to investigate the crash, she said.

There were six Southeast Bulloch Middle and High School students on the bus at the time of the accident.
