Volunteers are needed to help feed Bulloch County residents whose circumstances may hinder their ability to otherwise enjoy a Thanksgiving meal.Statesboro’s Feed the Boro effort will provide a hearty holiday meal to thousands, said organizer Robin Aspinwall. “It is still early, but we expect to feed anywhere from 2,000 to 3,000 people,” she said.On Wednesday, Nov. 26, “We will begin deboning turkeys, plating deserts, taping up boxes and organizing the meal line,” Aspinwall said. “We will need volunteers at the Statesboro High School cafeteria Wednesday afternoon from 4-7 p.m. and Thursday morning, Nov. 27, from 7 a.m. to 1 p.m.”Meals will be delivered to families between 10 a.m. and noon.“This has been a 20-plus year tradition,” Aspinwall said.
