Thursday, for the first time, all four candidates vying to be the mayor of Statesboro will share a stage. Twice this month, voters will have a chance to hear where Mayor Joe Brannen and challengers Jonathan McCollar, Jan Moore and Bill Thomas stand on the issues. The first forum will be held in the Ogeechee Technical College auditorium at 7 p.m. Thursday, preceded by a meet-and-greet with the candidates at 6:30 p.m. The event is sponsored by the Statesboro Herald and OTC and will be shown live on statesboroherald.com at 7 p.m. The second forum is scheduled for Tuesday, Oct. 22, in the Emma Kelly Theater and also will be preceded by a 6:30 p.m. meet-and-greet.
