Statesboro Police are seeking a man they said snatched a purse from a woman Monday. The victim told officers she was at Sea Island Bank's main branch parking lot on East Vine Street, and had just got out of her car when a man walked up and shoved her, causing her to strike her head on the car, said Statesboro Police Capt. L. C. Williams.
She told investigators the man snatched her purse, which contained an undisclosed amount of money, and fled on foot towards South Main Street.
Williams said she described the offender as " a white male, six feet tall, little to no hair on his head ... wearing sun glasses, a white tank top and blue jean shorts."
Anyone with information regarding this incident is asked to contact Det. Keith Holloway with the Statesboro Police Criminal Investigations Division at (912) 764-1542 or 764-9911. "Anyone providing information will be held in strict confidence," he said.
