A man who fought deputies trying to arrest him threatened to kill them even after being subdued by a Taser, according to Bulloch County sheriff's incident reports.

Deputies responded to a field on Westside Road Saturday, where a juvenile had been hunting around 6:30 p.m., sheriff's Sgt. Jimmy Billings in his report of the incident.

The boy fired at a deer, and John Brantley Morris, 32, of Westside Road, approached him and began cursing.

The boy called his father, who along with another man, came to the field to see about the matter. There, both men encountered Morris and a verbal argument ensued, Billings said.

Then Morris got into a car to leave and intentionally tried to strike one man, reports state.

The victims contacted sheriff's deputies, who located Morris and told him he was under arrest, the report says.

"When I advised Morris of him having to be arrested for his actions, I attempted to place handcuffs on him," Billings wrote in reports. "He became irate, combative towards all deputies and continued to resist further.
After deploying my Taser, (Morris) was subdued and he stated several times that he was going to kill
all of us."

Morris was charged with aggravated assault, terroristic threats, obstruction and disorderly conduct, according to jail records. He was taken to a hospital for evaluation, then to the Bulloch County Jail, where he was released on a $10,000 property bond, records show.

Reports were incomplete Thursday and the case remains under investigation, Billings stated in his initial report.
