Metter Police Chief Dennis Nelson released the identity of the man arrested in Sunday’s shooting at a Metter nightclub. Joe Lester Deson Jr., 33, Washington Street, Metter, is charged with aggravated assault after reportedly shooting an unnamed victim in the back. Nelson said the 27-year-old victim remains in stable condition after being airlifted to Memorial Health University Medical center in Savannah Sunday morning.
