The first Hudson Powell Memorial Scholarship Golf Tournament has been scheduled for Friday, Oct. 10, at Forest Heights Country Club. It will benefit students interested in pursuing a career in dentistry.“This is going to be a special day for so many of Hudson’s patients and friends to come together to enjoy a game of golf accompanied by the companion of fellowship, which truly will reflect the generous life of this special individual,” said Clyde Redding, the tournament chairman. Katherine Jones, who joined Powell’s practice in 1980, added: “Through this day of golf, we will be able to assist the funding for this prestigious award to be presented annually to a student qualifying for dental school or who might already be enrolled in a dental program.”
