A helicopter sweep of a four-county area this week has already netted two arrests in Bulloch County for growing marijuana.
The Governor's Task Force agents located three spots where pot plants were being cultivated, but no arrest has yet been made in connection with a 15-plant garden off Cleary Road in Brooklet, said Bulloch County Drug Suppression Team Capt. Rick Rountree.
Two plots were found on Lane Road, each with about 18 plants, he said.
Norman Earl Keelin, 47, Lane Road, was charged with manufacturing marijuana, according to Bulloch County Jail records.
Michael Steven Marciel, 47, Lane Road, was charged with manufacturing marijuana and possession of a firearm during the commission of a crime.
Rountree said the Governor's Task Force agents will be in the area through today, covering a four-county area searching for marijuana plots and possibly other illegal activity.
