Downtown Pep Rally set for First Friday

This month's First Friday downtown will celebrate school spirit and the upcoming football season. The event, scheduled for 5:30-8 p.m. on the courthouse lawn, is First Friday’s sixth annual Downtown Pep Rally. Local sports broadcaster Tommy Palmer will welcome the coaches, football players, cheerleaders and band members from Statesboro, Southeast Bulloch and Portal high schools and Bulloch Academy to help get Statesboro ready for the 2013 high school football season.
