A local restaurant was cited by state agents for selling alcohol to underage persons Wednesday.
An employee at Dos Primos on Lanier Drive sold an alcoholic beverage to an undercover, underage Georgia Department of Revenue agent, said Charles Willey, public information director for the department.
Revenue agents revisited seven establishments that had previous violations — Statesboro Brews,  Locos Deli and Pub, Rum Runners, Retrievers, Oasis and Apex as well as Dos Primos.  Some of the businesses were closed Wednesday, and aside from Dos Primos, those that were open were not found to be in violation, he said.
The owners of Dos Primos will attend a hearing November 6 in Savannah regarding the citation, Willey said.
Dos Primos was cited for a similar violation Sept. 6, 2007, he said. While he did not have details regarding the punitive measures to be taken, he said the consequences  “will be more stringent” as it is a repeat violation.
