University of Georgia legendary football coach and athletic director Vince Dooley will bring his book tour of Georgia to the Statesboro Mall on Monday, Feb. 23. Dooley is scheduled to appear between 4 and 7 p.m.
"The book tour is exciting to bring to communities across Georgia," Dooley said, "and it gives me an opportunity to visit with fans of all ages. Each event is memorable and unique. I look forward to my visit to Statesboro where football lore is legendary."
Fans may purchase and have autographed a number of Dooley's books, including two of his newest: "Dooley's Playbook - the 34 Most Memorable Plays in Georgia Football History" and "Hairy Dawg Journeys through the Peach State."
Two of his books are written especially for children, and additional books will be available along with artist's prints, game day caps and more. No outside memorabilia will be autographed due to the limited time of his visit.
Franklin Toyota is the corporate sponsor of the event at the Mall, located at 718 Northside Drive East.
