The 30th Annual Deen Day Smith Service to Mankind Awards Banquet will be held tonight at the Nessmith-Lane Building on the campus of Georgia Southern University.

The 2018 awards will add another 24 recipients to the more than 800 individuals previously honored for their service to others.

The keynote speaker for tonight's invitation-only banquet will be the namesake of the awards, Deen Day Smith Sanders of Atlanta. The individuals honored tonight will come from all corners of our community. Some will be recognized for their small act of kindness and others for major community improvements.
