The arrests are the "culmination of a year-long investigation," said FBI spokesman Edward W. Reinhold.

Drug agents arrested the suspects around 7:30 a.m. Tuesday on federal warrants issued as a result of a federal indictment returned in the Southern District of Georgia, Reinhold said.
He said the 11-count indictment charges each suspect with the following specific charges: conspiracy to possess with intent to distribute 50 grams or more of cocaine base (crack), and five kilograms or more of cocaine hydrochloride (powder) ; possession with intent to distribute cocaine base (crack) and possession with intent to distribute cocaine hydrochloride (powder); and aiding and abetting.
The suspects will have an initial appearance before the United States Magistrate Judge in Savannah or Atlanta, he said.
The Georgia State Patrol and Metter Police Department also assisted in the arrests, he said.
