ä THE BULLOCH COUNTY Historical Society will meet Sept. 24 in the fellowship hall of Pittman Park United Methodist Church, Fair Road. Program: The Statesboro Pilots and Joe Louis Reliford, who became one of the world’s youngest professional baseball players, will be presented by Darin Van Tassell. A Dutch treat lunch will be served at 11:30 a.m. Program begins at noon.

ä WIDOWS’ GRIEF Support and Education Group, for ladies who have experienced the death of a spouse/loved one, will meet Sept. 25 at 11 a.m. in the chapel of Ogeechee Area Hospice.

ä STEAK NIGHT will be held Sept. 28 at the American Legion Post home, Rucker Lane, beginning at 6 p.m. Bring your own steak.
