It's been 40 years, and NeSmith Chevrolet Buick GMC is still trucking.
        "It is with great pride and much humility that all of us in the NeSmith family celebrate our 40th anniversary with our customers and community to thank them for helping us reach this great milestone," said Martin NeSmith, president of NeSmith Chevrolet Buick GMC in Claxton and Jesup.
        The anniversary celebration event will be held at NeSmith Chevrolet in Claxton, 7334 Hwy. 280 West, on Saturday from 9 a.m. to 10 p.m. The free event will feature entertainment, live music from four bands, food, and also will reveal the winner of the company's biggest car giveaway to date!

        Guests may register to win an Apple iPad, tickets to the Luke Bryan concert, and more. Explore the Air Evac Helicopter from noon to 2 p.m. Youngsters can hang out in the Kids Zone featuring an inflatable slide, popcorn, cotton candy, and snow cones. Free hot dogs and soft drinks will be available from 5 to 8 p.m.
        There will be live music from Supernova, Faith & Walters and Ten Mile Creek, leading up to a dance party with The Swingin' Medallions from 7 to 10 p.m. The night will be completed with a fireworks show at 10.
        "But the most excitement of the day will be announcing the winner of our biggest giveaway in 40 years," said NeSmith, dealer principal of NeSmith Chevrolet in Jesup.
        All 40 qualifiers will be given a key to unlock the grand prize at Saturday's anniversary celebration. The winner will choose between a Buick Encore, a GMC Sierra 1500 or a Chevrolet Camaro as the grand prize.
