The Genealogy Section of the Statesboro Regional Public Library recently accepted three book donations in memory of departed members of the St. Philip's Parish Chapter of National Society Daughters of the American Colonists.

Chapter Librarian Andrea Leonardi selected and presented the volumes, which include "Irish Immigrants in the Land of Canaan: Letters and Memoirs from Colonial and Revolutionary America, 1675-1815" by Kerby A. Miller et al., honoring Margaret (Meg) Kate Collins Skinner; "In Dependence" by Jacqueline Beatty, commemorating Julianne Temples Miller; and "Virginians Will Dance or Die" by Joshua R. LeHuray, in memory of Mary Lynn Grice Walshak.

Chapter Regent Patricia Canady accompanied Leonardi during the presentation. Library Director Caroline Johnson and Genealogy Coordinator Lillian Wingate accepted the donations on behalf of the library.
