A Georgia Southern tradition that began 76 years ago was continued Wednesday by university President Kyle Marrero and First Lady Jane Marrero, who hosted the annual "Summer Celebration."

What started with slicing watermelons, now serves up a myriad of summer fruit, along with Leopold's Ice Cream to faculty, staff and summer-term students.
