Autsy Powell, RN was named the February Employee of the Month at East Georgia Regional Medical Center.

Director of Marketing Jaime Riggs made the announcement in an email.

Powell has been part of the team at EGRMC for eight years. 

She was nominated by her colleagues for her positive attitude, sense of ownership, her responsiveness and safety awareness, her commitment to providing quality service and her great work ethic while supporting her fellow nursing administration and flow nurse team members.

One nominator stated that, “When you think of someone that demonstrates the East Georgia “community cares culture“ no one better comes to mind. Autsy has fulfilled the role as flow nurse and also grown it exponentially. 

"She not only always completes her roles and responsibilities, but she is number one for helping her team.” 

A leader added, “I can think of countless times Autsy has been her patients’ best advocate. She currently is advocating for our patients’ best care, by actively educating and working on improving our medicine reconciliation process for home medicines. 

"Her constant kindness and dedication to our patients and the staff here at EGRMC, makes her such an extraordinary nurse. I can't think of anyone that deserves this recognition more.”
