Pat Calhoun, CEO of AgSouth Farm Credit, announced that Bob Mikell has joined the cooperative as senior attorney.
Mikell is a graduate of Georgia Southern University and received his Law Degree from the University of Georgia, graduating Cum Laude in the top 20 percent of his class.
After working as a clerk for a district attorney and a superior court Judge, he went into private law practice.
Mikell worked previously at Brown Rountree PC in Statesboro, where he worked extensively with AgSouth on a variety of projects. Mikell has a wide range of experience, including debtor/creditor work, litigation, contract work and research.
He is admitted to the bar in both South Carolina and Georgia.
A native of Statesboro, Mikell is the incoming chair of the Statesboro-Bulloch County Chamber of Commerce and president of the Statesboro Family YMCA Board of Managers. In 2017 he was named as one of the 40 under 40 Best and Brightest in the State by Georgia Trend.
“Bob will be a tremendous asset to AgSouth as we continue to grow and serve the needs of our members,” Calhoun said.
