Two separate search warrants last week resulted in five drug arrests at Cambridge at Southern/The Palms apartments, according to the Bulloch County Sheriff's Office.
On Sept. 18, officers with the Statesboro-Bulloch Crime Suppression Team searched an apartment "after investigators received information of drug sales from that location," said Bulloch County sheriff's Chief Deputy Jared Akins said in a news release issued Wednesday.
CST members seized "multiple bags of cocaine and marijuana" and arrested two residents, Robin Renee Dickerson, 49, and Dexture Lamar Dickerson, 40, both of Lanier Drive, Akins said.
Each is charged with possession of marijuana with intent to distribute, possession of cocaine with intent to distribute and sale of cocaine. Both were transported to the Bulloch County Jail, where they remain until they each post $10,000 bond each.
On the same day at the same apartment complex, CST investigators responded to another apartment for a drug complaint, Akins said.
Officers "found marijuana in plain view in the common area of the apartment" and after obtaining a search warrant, located "multiple pounds of high grade marijuana inside the apartment along with a large sum" of cash, he said.
Keilan Mann, 21, and Joseph Okekpe, 22, both of Lanier Drive, are charged with possession of marijuana with intent to distribute.
Maya Shasta, 19, of Roswell Road in Atlanta, is charged with possession of marijuana.
"Both Mann and Okekpe were out on previous felony drug bonds after being arrested by CST and are therefore held without bond at the Bulloch County Jail," Akins said.
Shasta posted a $2,000 bond and was released.
"These arrests are part of an ongoing effort by the CST to eliminate drug sales in the Lanier Drive corridor adjacent to (Georgia Southern University's) campus," Akins said.
