Even though one man shouted a warning, it was too late to escape the law as drug agents and other officers on Mikell Street Thursday responded to a narcotics complaint, according to a Bulloch County Sheriff's Office report. Three men - Derrick Nathanial Collie, 21, of Johnson Street; and Martavius Jamal Hobbs, 23, and Michael Demetrious Hobbs, 28, both of Sinkhole Road, were apprehended after a brief chase, according to a report by Deputy Mark Guarino. Guarino and Sgt. Jason Kearney, both with the Sheriff's Targeted Enforcement Patrol, or STEP, unit, joined Bulloch County Drug Suppression Team Capt. Rick Rountree, Sgt. Kent Munsey and Deputy Kirk McGlamery with K-9 partner Max after receiving a narcotics complaint at a Mikell Street home.
