Police have two armed robbery suspects in custody — and are seeking a third — they say are responsible for a home invasion incident Nov. 21 at The Avenue at Southern.

Bradley Javon Edwards, 24, of South College Street, was arrested Nov. 25, but police did not release information on his arrest until Thursday because of ongoing investigations and other pending arrests.

Le'Xavier James Lundy, 20, of Frink Road, was arrested Monday. Police have not released information on the third suspect.

At about 9:45 p.m. Nov. 21, Lundy, Edwards and the third suspect "forcibly entered an apartment at The Avenue at Southern, held the two residents at gunpoint, and stole multiple items," Statesboro Public Safety Director Wendell Turner said in a Thursday news release. "No shots were fired during the incident but the victims did receive injuries from strikes to the face and body. After the robbery the suspects left in a vehicle."

The victims called Statesboro police officers, who responded and began the investigation, which was turned over to Detective Kevin Wadley.

"Through further investigation, Wadley identified and arrested" Edwards and Lundy "as two of the three offenders in the armed robbery," Turner said. "This case is still under investigation."

Edwards and Lundy are each charged with armed robbery, aggravated assault and burglary.

Anyone with information concerning this case is asked to contact Wadley at the Statesboro Police Department at (912) 764-9911.

Anonymous tips may be submitted online at www.tipsoft.com or by sending a text message beginning with "TIPSSPD" to 274637 (CRIMES). All information is strictly confidential, Turner said.
