Mrs. Lynn Jones Brant of Statesboro, Ga., announces the engagement of her daughter, Laura Lynn Wells, to Brett Jenkins, son of Mr. and Mrs. Robert Jenkins of Millen, Ga.

The bride-elect is also the daughter of the late Johnnie P. Brant of Statesboro and the late Gerald W. Wells of Richmond Hill, Ga. She is the granddaughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Lavon Jones of Register, Ga., and Mr. and Mrs. Ira Wells of Richmond Hill. Laura graduated high school from Bulloch Academy in 2008. She received her degree in early childhood education at Georgia Southern University in 2012. Laura is currently teaching preschool at Bulloch Academy.

The groom-elect is the grandson of Mr. and Mrs. Lintorn Brett of Kite, Ga., and Mr. Bobby Jenkins and the late Mabel Jenkins of Millen. Brett graduated from Edmund Burke Academy in 2009. He earned a Bachelor of Science in geology from Georgia Southern University in 2014. Brett is a candidate for a Juris Doctor and will graduate from the Charleston School of Law in 2018.

The wedding is planned for Saturday, June 11th, 2016, at Hanging Rocks Plantation in Millen.
