Mr. Wayne Trautz of Vidalia and Mrs. Becky Fountain of Mt. Vernon announce the engagement and upcoming marriage of their daughter, Haley Rebecca Trautz of Mt. Vernon, to Brannen Giles Smith of Statesboro. The future groom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Bob Smith of Statesboro.
    The bride-elect is the granddaughter of Elise Fountain and the late J.M. Fountain of Mt. Vernon. She is also the granddaughter of Frank and Florence Trautz of Vidalia. Miss Trautz graduated from Georgia Southern University in 2007 with a degree in Public Relations. Miss Trautz is currently employed with Remedy Intelligent Staffing at TRANE Residential Systems in Vidalia.
    The groom-elect is the grandson of the late Jesse Howell DeLoach and Lucille DeLoach of Statesboro. He is also the grandson of the late Dr. J. Robert Smith and Mary Bennett Smith, also of Statesboro. Mr. Smith graduated from the University of Georgia in 2005 with a degree from The Terry Business College. He is employed by Synovus Financial Corporation as a regional credit analyst at Sea Island Bank, Statesboro.
    A family wedding is planned for April 17, 2010, at the home of the groom’s parents.
