Joel Bodie Sanders of Phoenix, Arizona, formerly of Statesboro, Georgia, and Kristin Terese Tegethoff of Phoenix, Arizona, formerly of Platte, South Dakota, together with their parents, Lorna Sanders of Statesboro and Joe and Kathy Tegethoff of Platte, S.D., announce their engagement.
    The groom-elect is also the son of the late Bodie E. Sanders of Statesboro. Joel is the grandson of Albert and Dolores Tankersley of Martinez, Ga., Carolyn Cannon of Statesboro and the late Bennie Sanders of Stilson. He is a 2003 honor graduate of Southeast Bulloch High School and is a 2007 magna cum laude graduate of Georgia Southern University. Joel is currently employed at Athlete's Performance in Phoenix, Arizona.
    The bride-elect is a 2007 graduate of Franciscan University in Steubenville, Ohio, and is currently employed at Maggie's Place in Phoenix, Arizona.
    The couple has planned to wed on November 26, 2011, in Platte, South Dakota.
    An engagement celebration honoring Joel and Kristin will be held on Saturday, November 5th, from 7 until 9 p.m. at the home of the groom's
mother.
