Kelly Ruth Smith Robert Patton "Bo" Staley

    Mr. and Mrs. Grady Thomas Smith of Statesboro, Ga., are pleased to announce the engagement of their daughter, Kelly Ruth, to Robert Patton "Bo" Staley, son of Mr. David W. Staley of Hilton Head Island, S.C., and Mrs. Betty Anne Bush of Greensboro, N.C.
    The bride-elect is the granddaughter of Mrs. Ruth Helen Coursey of Statesboro, Ga., and the late Mr. James Al Coursey, as well as the late Mr. and Mrs. Thomas C. Smith of Statesboro, Ga. Kelly is a 1999 honor graduate of Statesboro High School and attended Georgia Southern University, where she was a member of the Alpha Delta Pi sorority. She graduated with honors from Georgia Southern University, receiving her Bachelor's degree in Psychology in 2003, along with her Master's degree and Education Specialist degree in School Psychology in 2006. She is currently employed by the Beaufort County Board of Education as a school psychologist for Michael C. Riley Elementary School, Daufuskie Island Elementary School and Hilton Head Island High School.
    The groom-elect is the grandson of Mrs. Betty R. Queen of Winston-Salem, N.C., and the late Mr. Ray Jack Queen, as well as Mr. Charles W. Staley of Bluffton, S.C., and the late Mrs. Jean Staley. Bo is a 1995 honor graduate of The McCallie School in Chattanooga, Tennessee, and attended Millsaps College in Jackson, Mississippi, graduating with a Bachelor of Business Administration degree. He then joined the United States Marine Corps in 2000 and attended the Defense Mapping School. After graduation, he served as a geospatial intelligence specialist, working for the 3rd Intelligence Battalion in Okinawa, Japan. He was also a member of the Geographic Analysis Branch while working for Marine Corps Intelligence in Quantico, Virginia. After his service as a Marine, Bo moved back to Hilton Head Island, S.C., where he sold real estate for four years. He is currently the manager of Hudson's Seafood on the Docks restaurant on Hilton Head Island.
    The wedding is planned for March 26th, 2011, at 6 p.m. at First Baptist Church in Statesboro. The reception will follow at Forest Heights Country Club.
    No local invitations are being sent. All family and friends are invited to attend.
