Courtney Catherine Mitchell and Jordan Barrett Chester

    Mr. and Mrs. David Earl Mitchell of Dallas, Texas, announce the engagement of their daughter, Courtney Catherine Mitchell, to Jordan Barrett Chester, son of Drs. Emerson and Debra Chester of Statesboro, Ga.
    The bride-elect is the granddaughter of Cordelia Mitchell and the late John David Mitchell of Horseshoe Bay, Texas, and the late Edward Ned and Jayne Wolfe of El Paso, Texas. She is a 2005 graduate of Richardson High School in Dallas, a 2009 summa cum laude graduate of the University of Texas at Austin, and graduated magna cum laude from Tulane University Law School in 2012, where she received her juris doctor. She is currently employed as a judicial clerk for the Texas Court of Criminal Appeals in Austin, Texas, under the Honorable Tom Price.
    The groom-elect is grandson of Helen Howard and the late Rupert Lavert “Sonny” Howard of Statesboro and the late John Wesley and Jessie Chester of Statesboro. He is a 2004 graduate of Statesboro High School, a 2008 magna cum laude graduate of Georgia Southern University, and received his juris doctor from Tulane University Law School in 2011. A former assistant state attorney in Jacksonville, Fla., he is currently employed as an oil and gas attorney at the Kilburn Law Firm, PLLC, in Houston, Texas.
    The couple will marry March 16, 2013, in Dallas, Texas, at Perkins Chapel on the campus of Southern Methodist University, with a reception to follow at the Northwood Hills Country Club.
