Dr. and Mrs. David Matthews of Statesboro, Ga., announce the engagement of their daughter, Jill Mabie Matthews of Atlanta, to Carl Morgan Doty of Atlanta, son of Mr. and Mrs. Roger Doty and Dr. Karen Doty of Statesboro, Ga.
    The bride-elect is the granddaughter of the late Christine and Norman Matthews and the late Hamilton and Margaret Mabie. She is a 2007 graduate of Statesboro High School. Jill graduated from Georgia Southern University with a Bachelor of Science in Psychology. She is currently employed with the Georgia Institute of Technology as an admission c ounselor and pursuing her Master's in Higher Education Administration through Georgia Southern.
    The groom-elect is the grandson of John C. Doty and the late Mary Rogers Doty and Janet Linville and the late Art Linville. He is the great-grandson of Anna Belle Rogers and the late Carl Rogers. He is also a 2007 graduate of Statesboro High School. Morgan received a Bachelor of Science in Industrial and Systems Engineering from the Georgia Institute of Technology, where he is an alumnus of the Gamma Tau chapter of the Phi Gamma Delta fraternity. He is currently employed with Insight Sourcing Group as a consultant in Norcross, Ga.
    The couple will marry on August 5, 2012, in Atlanta, Ga.
