Dr. and Mrs. Daniel Feldman of Statesboro and Mr. and Mrs. Clarence Leathers of Fayetteville, Georgia, announce the engagement of their daughter, Courtney Kramer Caldwell Leathers of Statesboro, to Matthew Sasnett Brinson, son of Mr. and Mrs. Preston Brinson of Statesboro.
    The bride-elect is the granddaughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Alton Newby of Chattanooga, Tennessee, and the late Mr. and Mrs. Clarence Leathers of Atlanta, Georgia. Courtney is a 2002 graduate of Bulloch Academy and a 2006 graduate of Georgia Southern University, where she was awarded a Bachelor of Business Administration degree in Finance. Courtney is an alumnus of the Epsilon Pi Chapter of Alpha Delta Pi Sorority. She is currently employed by Steve H. Powell and Company.
    The groom-elect is the grandson of Mr. and Mrs. Burl Sasnett of Byron, Georgia, and the late Mr. and Mrs. Charles Brinson of Statesboro. He is a 2003 graduate of Statesboro High School and a 2007 graduate of Georgia Southern University. He received a Bachelor of Science degree in Justice Studies. Matt is an alumnus of the Eta Zeta Chapter of Sigma Chi Fraternity. He is presently employed by the City of Statesboro Police Department.
    The couple has planned to wed on June 16, 2012, at Epworth by the Sea, St. Simons Island, Georgia.
