    Glenda Brannen Lanier of Statesboro, along with PG and Audrey Lanier of Charlotte, North Carolina, are pleased to announce the engagement of their daughter, Courtenay Renae Lanier, to Lee Hilliard Tillman, son of Dr. Samuel and Sharon Tillman of Tilmanstone Farm and Virginia Lee Floyd Tillman.
    The bride-elect’s maternal grandparents are the late James A. "Jimmie" Brannen and the late Kittie Jean Brannen. Her paternal grandparents are the late Gene Lanier and Juanita Lanier. Courtenay graduated from Bulloch Academy and was the 1997 salutatorian and student of the year of her senior class. Courtenay has a Bachelor of Science degree from Georgia Southern University and earned her post-graduate degree from Emory University in Atlanta as a family nurse practitioner. She is employed with AppleCare.
    The groom-elect is the paternal grandson of the late Joseph Gerome and Edna Dekle Tillman and maternal grandson of the late Waldo Emerson Floyd, M.D., and Laura Lavinia Hilliard Floyd. Lee Hilliard earned his B.S. in mechanical engineering philosophy from Georgia Southern University. He is employed as test engineer with Great Dane Trailers in Savannah.
    The wedding is planned for November 1, 2014.
