    Claudia Carver of Jesup announces the engagement of her daughter, Dia Marie Carver, also of Jesup, to Ashley Robert Harmon of Nevils, son of Paul and Gail Harmon, also of Nevils.
    The bride-elect is the daughter of the late James Robert "Jim" Carver Sr. Her maternal grandparents are the late Jessie William Brannen and Carrie Brannen. Her paternal grandparents are the late Burton and Geri Carver. Dia is a 2006 honor graduate of Wayne County High School. She attended Georgia Southern University and the College of Coastal Georgia. She is employed by Tracy Alan Brown as a legal assistant.
    The bridegroom-elect's maternal grandparents are the late R.C. and Myrtle Martin. His paternal grandparents are the late Claud and Marion Harmon. Ashley is a graduate of Pinewood Christian Academy. He is also a graduate of Georgia Southern University, where he received a Bachelor of Business Administration in finance and a Master of Business Administration degree. He also completed his graduate concentration in economics at the New York Institute of Technology. He is a member of the Pi Kappa Phi Fraternity and is employed at Southeastern Technical College as a marketing and economics instructor.
    The wedding is scheduled for Dec. 13, 2014, at 4:30 in the afternoon at the Buie Barn in Brunswick.
