Charles Ray Thornton and Mrs. Sam Reeves of Washington announce the engagement of their daughter, Daisy Ellen Thornton of Statesboro, to James Benji Lewis of Statesboro, son of Mr. and Mrs. Jan Price of Statesboro.
The bride-elect is the granddaughter of Virginia Todd and the late Charles Thornton of Washington, the late Jackie Flowers of Washington and the late Sam Harris of Tignall. She is a 2000 graduate of Washington Wilkes Comprehensive High School and is a 2005 graduate of Georgia Southern University, where she earned a bachelor of science in early childhood education.
The groom-elect is the grandson of Bobbie Lamb and the late Allen Lamb of Statesboro and Jo Price of Claxton. He is a 1995 graduate of Statesboro High School and is a 2002 graduate of Georgia Southern University, where he earned a bachelor’s degree in child and family development. He is employed as a health and physical education teacher at Charter Conservatory for the Liberal Arts and Technology. He is also the owner and operator of Jammin’ “J” Productions Disc Jockey Company.
The couple has planned to wed on April 7, 2007, at 6 p.m. at the Robbins Nest.
