Mr. and Mrs. J.P. Stubbs of Statesboro announce the engagement and upcoming marriage of their daughter, Rachel Anna Stubbs, to Ralph Calvin Staffins III, son of the late Mr. Ralph C. Staffins Jr. of Decatur and the late Miss Katherine Anderson of Covington.
The bride-elect is the granddaughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Olan Stubbs and Mr. and Mrs. F. Ned Boring of Stone Mountain. Ms. Stubbs is a 2004 graduate of Bulloch Academy. She is currently enrolled at Georgia College & State University and will graduate in May 2008 with a Bachelor of Arts degree in mass communications.
The groom-elect is the grandson of the late Mr. and Mrs. Anderson of Tennessee and Charlene Staffins and the late R.C. Staffins Sr. of Decatur. Mr. Staffins is a 2001 graduate of Loganville High School and received a Bachelor of Science degree in political science from Georgia College & State University in May 2006. He will graduate with a Master's degree in public administration from Georgia College & State University in May of 2008 and plans to pursue a career in local government.
Rachel and Ralph will marry Saturday, May 17, 2008, at 6 p.m. at First Baptist Church in Statesboro. A reception will follow the ceremony at Forest Heights Country Club.
