Thernell and Beverly Smith of Statesboro would like to announce the engagement of their daughter, Tamara Nicole Smith of Statesboro, to William Wardell Harrell, son of William E. Collins of Cincinnati, Ohio, and Artie Harrell of Atlanta.
The bride-elect is the granddaughter of Peter Blige of Richmond Hill and the late Luvenia C. Blige and Mr. and Mrs. John C. Smith of Glennville. She is a 2002 honor graduate of Statesboro High School and received a bachelor of science degree in middle grades education from Georgia Southern University in 2005. She is currently a science teacher at Claxton Middle School.
The groom-elect is a 2002 graduate of Benjamin E. Mays High School in Atlanta. He received a bachelor of science degree in general studies (exercise science and coaching) from Georgia Southern University in 2005. He is currently pursuing a master’s degree in secondary education (physical education) from Grand Canyon University. He is currently a substitute teacher in Bulloch County.
The couple has planned to wed on Saturday, July 7, 2007, at 2 p.m. at Spirit and Truth Worship Center. The reception will immediately follow at The Historic Statesboro Inn.
