Mr. and Mrs. Justin Jasper Janney

            Jenny Leigh Reddick and Justin Jasper Janney were united in marriage at six o’clock in the evening on Saturday, May 17, 2008. The ceremony was held at the First United Methodist Church in Sylvania and was performed by the Rev. Richard Smith and the Rev. Charles Cravey.

            The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Eddie Reddick of Sylvania and the granddaughter of Dr. and Mrs. Gerald French and Mrs. Elton Reddick and the late Mr. Elton Reddick. The groom is the son of Ms. Elizabeth Ryan Janney of Sylvania and Mr. Robin Scott Janney of Wisconsin. He is the grandson of the late Mr. and Mrs. Robert J. Ryan of Arizona and Mrs. Ulis Janney and the late Mr. Ulis Janney of Arizona.

            Given in marriage by her parents and escorted by her father, the bride wore a light ivory luxe taffeta gown with a beaded lace sweetheart strapless bodice that met a dropped empire waistline and flowed into an A-line ruched skirt with embroidery into the pick-ups and into the chapel-length train. She wore a two-layered fingertip veil with an embroidered and beaded edge. She carried a hand-tied bouquet of cream and pink-tipped roses, tied with her grandmother’s wedding handkerchief.

            The bride chose Leigh Ann Johnson Withrow as her matron of honor. Bridesmaids included cousins of the bride, Kortney Gross of Sylvania, Tiffany Gross of Athens and Audrey Anne Reddick of Moultrie; sister of the groom, Robin Janney of Statesboro;  Lauren Scott Ross of Statesboro, Dru Greene McBride and Heather Campbell Smoak of Sylvania and Randi Robbins Reeves of Athens.

            They wore floor-length strapless satin dresses in peony, accented with ivory waistbands and carried hand-tied bouquets of multi-colored tulips.

            Ryan Norton served as best man. Groomsmen included brothers of the groom, Bryan Janney and Nathan Janney of Sylvania; brother of the bride, Dusty Reddick of Sylvania; uncles of the groom, Barry Schmitz and Robert Ryan of Arizona; cousin of the groom, Nicholas Ryan of Arizona; Stephen Fitzner of Sylvania and Benjamin Ross of Statesboro.

            Nieces of the groom, Hannah Lewis and Madison Lewis of Statesboro, served as flower girls. Nephew of the groom, Stephon Lewis, served as the ring bearer.

            Honorary bridesmaids included Virginia Morris Smelts of Thomson, Camille Conley White of Sylvania and Courtney Haskins Hinson of Macon.

            Music was provided by Roslyn Matheson, organist; Agatha Kent, pianist; Cleve Freeman and Michelle Toole Westbrook, vocalists.

            Following the ceremony, parents of the bride, Judy and Eddie Reddick, hosted a reception at their home on Buttermilk Road in Sylvania.

            The couple honeymooned in Maui, Hawaii, and now make their home in Statesboro.
