Joni Poppell of Guyton announces the engagement of her daughter, Mandi Joy of Guyton, to Matthew Ryan Page, son of Ronnie and Debbie Page.
The bride-elect is also the daughter of the late Wayne Poppell. She is the granddaughter of Susie Sansom and the late JD Sansom and the late Hyma and Thelma Poppell. Mandi graduated from South Effingham High School in 2005 and is attending Georgia Southern University, where she is majoring in early childhood education.
The groom-elect is the grandson of Mary and Ken LeCain Sr. of Statesboro and Vivinea and Truman Page of Brooklet. Matthew graduated from Southeast Bulloch High School in 2004 and is majoring in commercial construction management at Ogeechee Technical College. He is employed with Pope Construction Company.
The couple has planned to wed on December 15, 2007, at 5 p.m. at the First Baptist Church of Springfield.
