Mr. and Mrs. Melvin Sr. and Annie Perkins announce the engagement of their daughter, Angela Perkins of Statesboro, to Mirian Eason, son of Mr. and Mrs. Johnny and Annette Eason.
    The bride-elect is the granddaughter of the late Jessie Perkins Sr. and Mattie Sue Perkins. She is also the granddaughter of the late Willie James Hobbs Sr. and Katie Mae Byrd.
    The groom-elect is the grandson of the late Beatrice Houston and the late Eva Lee Eason.
    The couple has planned to wed on September 27, 2008, at 2:30 p.m. at Whitesville Full Gospel Worship Center. All friends and relatives are invited.
    The reception will take place at the Honey Bowen Building after the wedding ceremony.
