Mr. and Mrs. Phillip Mellor of Dudley, Ga. announce the engagement and upcoming marriage of their daughter, Rebekah Ellen Mellor, to Clay Ketterman, son of Lennie M. Rutz and Dave L. Rutz of Brooklet and the late Robert I. Ketterman of Owensboro, Ky.
    The bride-elect is the granddaughter of Martha Hickerson and the late Ronald Hickerson of Dudley, Ga., Ruth Mellor of Clayton, Ga., and Mr. and Mrs. Phil Mellor of Milledgeville, Ga. Rebekah is a 2001 honor graduate of West Laurens High School and is currently attending Georgia Southern University and will graduate in December 2007 with a BS in nursing.
    The groom-elect is the grandson of the late Lonnie J. and Ailene F. McGowan of Brooklet and the great-grandson of the late C.B. and Donie Forehand of Metter. Clay is a 1996 honor graduate of Southeast Bulloch High School. Clay graduated from Georgia Southern University with a BS in criminal justice and has a master’s degree from Troy State University. He is currently employed with the State of Georgia as a parole officer.
    The wedding will be a private ceremony performed by the Rev. Michael Guido on December 23, 2006, at the “Big House” in Dudley.
