    Rebecca Lauren Deal and Matthew Hamilton Rogers were united in marriage at 6 p.m. on Saturday, December 30th, 2006, at Pittman Park United Methodist Church in Statesboro. The Rev. Mike Huling officiated the ceremony.
    Lauren is the daughter of H. Craig and Sharon Deal of Statesboro and is the granddaughter of Willie H. “Bo” and Irene Harrell of Statesboro and Lois Deal of Statesboro and the late John E. Deal Sr.
    Matthew is the son of Thomas H. and Julie Rogers of Statesboro and is the grandson of Mrs. Julian P. Price of Swainsboro and the late Mr. Price and the late Mr. and Mrs. William C. Rogers Sr.
    Given in marriage by her father, the bride wore an ivory satin strapless gown with a natural waist bodice with beaded Alencon lace. The gown had a full rounded A-line skirt with side pleats and a double sash at the back with beaded Alencon lace and a chapel-length train. Lauren wore a floor-length veil and carried a bouquet of Casa Blanca lilies. She wore a piece of lace from her mother’s wedding dress at the hem of her dress.
    Jennifer Adams of Titusville, Fla., served as Lauren’s maid of honor. Bridesmaids were Katie Jones of Statesboro, Laura McCook of Statesboro, Caroline Norman of Edison and Nickie Cooper of Athens.
    The bridesmaids wore floor-length camel tissue taffeta strapless gowns with asymmetrical ruched bodices and slight trains. They carried red roses accented with holly berries.
    Matthew chose his father, Thomas H. Rogers of Statesboro, as his best man. Groomsmen were brother of the bride, Matt Deal of Statesboro; Will Healy of Statesboro, Adam Martin of Statesboro, Bob Mikell of Statesboro, Brett Denmark of Statesboro and Tony Cuviello of Roswell.
    The flower girl was Nora Wiggins, niece of the groom. Cousin of the bride, Tyler Willoughby, served as the ring bearer.
    The bride’s cousin, Amy Deal, and her husband, Chad Deal, were vocalists during the ceremony.
    Following the ceremony, a reception was held at Snella’s Place.
    The couple honeymooned at Couple’s Swept Away in Negril, Jamaica, and now resides in Augusta.
